Volunteer

Tutors work with our children one-on-one, helping them with homework or other academic material that we provide. No prior teaching experience is needed. The job of the tutor is not difficult but is very important. Tutors provide academic support, serve as good role models, and offer encouragement to students who truly need it. After completing the form to the right, the Learning Club will reach out to you about visiting a site and completing a short training so you have all the tools you need to have an impact.

Enrichment Programs
Looking for a one-time volunteer opportunity?
Throughout the year, we offer enrichment programs designed to help our students expand their horizons and plant seeds for future careers. Volunteers are needed to lead one-time programs to share a special skill or passion with our students. Hands-on, experiential activities are especially appreciated, presented in a 30 to 60 minute time frame. Past presenters have taught art, juggling, pet care, cooking, knitting, ballet and many other topics. Others have shared their career journeys with our students. Please consider sharing your passion to ignite a love for learning in our children!  Contact Brad Grabs at bgrabs@LearningClubKCK.org for scheduling or more information.
Child Protection Policy Requirements
Read our Child Protection Policy »
The safety and protection of our students is a top priority. Tutors can come to the Learning Club on a trial basis up to three sessions before a background check and other required paperwork needs to be completed.  On-site training will be conducted as the tutor begins, and a longer training (hour and a half) can be completed as the volunteer's schedule allows.  Contact Brad Grabs at bgrabs@LearningClubKCK.org for more information.

We would love to have you visit or get involved!
