Get Involved
Welcome!
See a list of Learning Club sites and schedules. Tutors work with our children one-on-one, helping them with homework or other academic material that we provide. No prior teaching experience is needed. The job of the tutor is not difficult but is very important. Tutors provide academic support, serve as good role models, and offer encouragement to students who truly need it. After completing the form to the right, the Learning Club will reach out to you about visiting a site and completing a short training so you have all the tools you need to have an impact. We have tutoring options after school at our six sites, each on different days of the week, and during the school day at local elementary schools. |

THANK YOU, VOLUNTEERS!
The success of the Learning Club is largely due to the involvement of many dedicated volunteers who work with and support our students in a variety of ways. Volunteers share their knowledge, their love for learning, and their interests with the youth, giving them the encouragement and support that they need to succeed in school and in life!

Enrichment Programs
Looking for a one-time volunteer opportunity?
Throughout the year, we offer enrichment programs designed to help our students expand their horizons and plant seeds for future careers. Volunteers are needed to lead one-time programs to share a special skill or passion with our students. Hands-on, experiential activities are especially appreciated, presented in a 30 to 60 minute time frame. Past presenters have taught art, juggling, pet care, cooking, knitting, ballet and many other topics. Others have shared their career journeys with our students. Please consider sharing your passion to ignite a love for learning in our children! Contact Mia Gardner at at 913-369-4423 or [email protected] for scheduling or more information.
