Prizes for students to earn
Learning Club provides prizes for our students that serve as incentives for on-time attendance and exemplary effort. Students earn points for arriving on time, working on homework, for good effort, and for choosing to save their points. Then they “buy” items for themselves or family members with their hard-earned points. Students who choose to save their points each week are rewarded with Interest points, teaching the value of delayed gratification. Our prize system empowers students to work hard for things they want. It also allows them to be generous and buy gifts for others!

Gifts for holiday events at after-school sites
Through December 1st each year, Learning Club also gathers holiday gifts for students to "purchase" with their points at six holiday events in December. At these events, students select and wrap presents for their moms, dads, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and teachers (and sometimes themselves)!
For these events, we welcome donations from our Holiday Event Amazon wish list, new or gently used items that would be a great gift for a family member (think warm gloves and ties for paternal gifts; scented candles and scarves for maternal gifts), and wrapping materials such as gift bags, plastic tape dispensers, and scissors.
Please note that at this time, we have plenty of the following: ribbon, plastic grocery bags
